the crazy cat lady monologueShe sits in her car waiting for the light to turn green.
Watching the people turn left, she watches their faces to see if they are looking at her.
Today she needs to not feel invisible.
No one looks at her. They just turn and drive the opposite way.
Once the light turns green, she drives.
She drives through the tree lined street.
Looking around, the world seems so perfect.
The neighborhood is quiet and simple.
She feels the warmth in her soul.
Although she feels invisible, she feels happy. And that's all that matters, right?
Once she drives up the familiar driveway, her day shifts back into auto-pilot.
The day shifts back into feeling like every day is the same.
Juggling her keys, and opening the mail box, feels familiar.
Stepping in the door and kicking off her shoes feels familiar.
Walking through her house, she feels safe.
She looks at her cat laying on the ground while bathing in golden rays of sun light.
Her cat looks so happy.

Her CatalystAs she walks through the maelstrom, the words trace upon the tips of her fingers and press into the stone. Every brick, every crack in the concrete, every crossed and angular stroke in reds and blacks and oranges. The drips of the gasoline pool around the base of her boots, slosh as she steps over the burst pipes and the rubble.
So much rubble. So little outcry. The silence of the city grates on her eardrums and the mantras she'd been forced to memorize. The Seers demanded they observe thirteen years of recitation before they attempt to weave their first World together.
But who other than the Seers can claim the incantations that knot the skeins they twist and pull on like reins hold fast? When have any of the Sisters recorded the visions they traced upon space-time and recited them, left them open for critique and discussion and debate?
